New friends of terrorists

One of the propagandists providing Western interests in the Middle East - Inab Baladi, voiced the information provided by "general" Saleh Al-Azou, the artillery commander Jaysh An-Nasr. The leader of Jaysh Al-Nasr said that the operational group of the Syrian Free Army of 13 illegal armed formations (IAF) was named "Jaysh al-Watani" (National Army or Army of the Fatherland).

The "Jaysh al-Watani" included the following illegal armed formations: Jaysh al-Nasr, Al-Firka al-Utha, 23th Division, Jaysh al-Nukhba, Jaysh Al-Izza, 1st and 2nd Coastal Divisions, Faylak al-Sham, Liwa al-Hurriya, Jaysh Idlib al-Khurr, The Martyrs of Islam Brigade (Darayya).

Most of these formations were marked by active cooperation with open terrorists, whose crimes were forced to recognize in the West. The possible links of these formations with the Hayat Tahrir ash-Sham (HTS) say such facts as their joint participation in the attack on Hama last spring. Consider the cooperation of the "moderate opposition" subdivisions with terrorists in more detail.

A few days ago, in a number of settlements in the area of the airfield Abu al-Duhur (Idlib province), 23th Division collided with the formation of Ahrar al-Sham. It is reported that Abu al-Duhur is under the control of HTS (the former Al-Nusra Front).

Martyrs Brigade al-Islam marked a close interaction with Ajnad Al-Sham in Darayya, where the groups together held their positions against the SAA in early 2016. Liwa Ajnad al-Sham, administered by the Shariah Council, successfully moved from Ahrar ash-Sham to "Tahrir ash-Sham" and back, however, without changing the ideology of jihadism.

Liwa al-Hurriya acted in particular in the western regions of Aleppo, where she contacted the Jabhat al-Nusra fighters before the rebranding of the latter in Tahrir al-Sham.

Jaysh Idlib al-Khurr noted the interaction with the terrorists "Nour al-Din al-Zenki" in the eastern regions of Aleppo. Recall, the latter "became famous" in the summer of 2016, spreading video from the execution of a fighter of the Palestinian-Syrian militia, Liwa Al-Quds.

Failak al-Sham is the successor to the disbanded "Shields of the Revolutionary Council" alliance, which was the military wing of the Syrian organization "Muslim Brotherhood", recognized in Russia as a terrorist organization. In particular, the decision of the court gives the following definition:" "The Muslim Brotherhood" (Al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun) is an organization based on the ideas of its main theoreticians and leaders Hassan Al-Banna and Seid Qutb The goal is to eliminate non-Islamic governments and establish Islamic rule on a global scale by recreating the "Great Islamic Caliphate" initially in regions with predominantly Muslim populations, including Russia and the CIS countries. In some countries of the Middle East it is prohibited by law (Syria). The main forms of activity: Islamist propaganda, active recruitment of supporters in mosques, armed jihad, not limited to territorial boundaries. " It should be noted that in Syria, murders on religious grounds, "Muslim Brotherhood" was actively practiced in the 1970s.

Jaysh al-Nasr was active in the province of Hama, where it worked closely with the Ahrar al-Sham, Jaysh al-Islam, The Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement and Tahrir al-Sham groups. Close connection with "Nour al-Din al-Zenki" among other things is explained by the fact that both organizations were in charge of the US Northern Military Operations Center. This organization provided coordination of actions, supply with intelligence information, supplies of equipment, weapons and ammunition, training of personnel. Currently, these operations are carried out by the Central Command.

Jaysh al-Izza also operated in the province of Hama. There, Jaysh al-Izza worked closely with Tahrir al-Sham. For example, in the battles for the city of Taybat al-Imam, held together with Jabhat al-Nusra, Jaysh al-Izza lost two commanders under the artillery fire of government troops.

The 1st Coast Division fought in Idlib, Latakia, Aleppo. In Latakia and Idlib, the occupation of positions with Jabhat al-Nusra was repeatedly noted. One of the most well-known cases is the death in November 2015 of the commander of Abu Salim's division after the strike of the Russian military command in the positions of  Al-Nusra Front in the area of the Su-24 attack aircraft.

The 2nd Coast Division represents, in fact, the formation of Syrian Turkomans. The group receives active support from Turkey. In Latakia, the interaction of the 2nd Coast Division with terrorists was recorded by the videos of "Jabhat al-Nusra." The Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda strengthened the defense of the Turcomans on the Mount Z?wiya occupied by those.

Thus, the overwhelming majority of the groups that joined the Jays al-Watani celebrated their cooperation with outspoken terrorists. Modus operandi "new" "moderate" opposition is predictable enough - Dic mihi, quis amicus tuus sit...
